This Three Button Henley was NOT heavyweight at all. While it is well constructed, nice color, I have to say as a matter of fact the material was thin, not much more than the thickness of a pocket t-shirt. I must admit I wore it right out of the box, but still, there would have to be an incredible after-wash transformation for it to come close to the definition of “heavyweight”. I expected the thickness of perhaps a decent thermal top which the pics suggest, but it didn’t measure up at all. I guess at $8, you do get what you pay for here. I expected a bit closer to the description from Hanes.

I love these long-sleeved t-shirts with the round collar and a few buttons. My son loves to wear these casually with his skinny jeans. The cotton fabric is true quality and the colors are bright and vibrant. They aren’t too thin but don’t smother him. He can wear them under an over-sized button down to dress it up a little for church or a date, but they’re great alone for super casual wear. And, of course, I love the price! These shirts are easily laundered in cold water and then he hangs them to dry to prevent shrinkage. I have also bought him some socks and boxer shorts from Hanes and he swears by them, says they are the best. Hanes is also a better buy than Fruit of the Loom!

Great look and good material, though did run a little bit smaller than I had anticipated. I am an athletic build 5’8″ 180lb and the medium fits pretty snug through the arm pits. I would go with a L next time as it doesnt run long in length, so would not be down to your thighs like most larges do now a days
adam –
Product was a right fit. My frame is obese with L size chest but xl waist. But this fits just right. While material is not really soft but it is good for any outdoor or nature walk. It works as a camo but also protects from bug bites for the long sleeves. The quality after few washes seems to wear down significantly. At purchase I had a small loose stitch but could not return as I opened it after return period.

This is basically a long sleeve t-shirt with a Henley neck. It was an add-on so I could qualify for free shipping but, after receiving, found it to be a great, casual shirt. I am 5’10”-205 lbs. and I found the neck and arm/tail lengths appropriate and the soft material makes it very comfortable for me in XLarge size. I’m not worried about any shrinkage when washed as the arms may be a little long (only about 1/2″ to 1″). It has elastic in sleeve cuffs that keep any excess in control. This shirt went from an add-on to one of my favorite lounge shirts. I am pleasantly surprised with this purchase and will consider getting more.

Measured my chest and waist. I am 50” around chest when holding my breath (47” when not) and 44” waist. So, the XXL should be a little loose. It is EXTREMELY snug. Like, I could wear it if I enjoyed skin tight clothing. But, if the measurements show it should have 2” of move space in the chest while holding all the air I can, then it shouldn’t be tight around my chest when I’ve exhaled and super tight when inhaling normally.

Great look and true to size. Bought for my 15 yo son. He’s 6’1”/130, so on the thinner side. I bought him a men’s medium and it fit perfectly. The length hits him mid hip, the sleeves fall right to the end of his wrist/top of hand, the material is of good weight, not thin or light weight, but not heavy either. Perfect for layering under hoodies or coats. It provides that extra layer for warmth but not too hot to keep the hoodie on inside school. It’s great for school since most lockers at the schools aren’t big enough for coats and backpacks. It’s def my go to style for him and will continue to purchase because the quality is amazing and it’s affordable.

I’m male, 5’9” tall, and weigh 210 pounds. I purchased these in medium size and they fit my 42 inch chest well. The 100 percent cotton shirts did shrink after a wash and drying, but stretched back over my body easily. If you were hoping to achieve a baggier aesthetic, this might not work for you. The cotton and polyester blend shrink less. The colors that came in 100 percent cotton were dark truffle, ebony, burnt brick, and petro teal. Pebblestone Heather and Navy Heather were constructed of 75 percent cotton and 25 percent polyester they are decent.

Awesome shirt — my new go-to long sleeve shirt. I’m an athletically-built 6’0″ /170 lbs. (broader shoulders, narrower waist), and this shirt in a medium fits perfectly. It has plenty of room through the chest and shoulders yet is snug around the midsection for a nicer, slimming look. Also, the length is perfect for wearing untucked. It falls about halfway down the zipper on my pants. The cotton is definitely a heavy-weight cotton, and it feels very nice. The only thing I dislike is the contrasting fabric under the section of the shirt where it buttons. On the black shirt, there is gray fabric that is visible unless you button all three buttons. Same with the navy blue shirt. It looks okay, but I’d prefer if it was just monochromatic. Overall, this is a fantastic shirt. Highly recommended.
Sammydip –
Used as a top for my husbands Linda Belcher Costume, worked perfectly.
Charlessed –
Good value for money.
Seems to run large imho. And fwiw, it’s long. I bought it to wear untucked. No way. It’s longer than any other similar shirt (style, cut, size) in my closet and looks silly untucked.
If you want a nice shirt at a solid quality/price point, that you plan to wear tucked in? And you want it more on the loose side for comfort? Get this shirt. It’s labeled “regular” fit but seems very relaxed to me. If that’s what you want, it’s hard to beat for the price.

Originally, I wrote:
This 100% cotton polo does not feel heavy and my XL size is not humongous like some X-Large shirts tend to be. aka its not a floater.
UPDATE:
After more 6 months of having it, I don’t like the fit anymore. It’s actually a floater now and I have to tuck it in. I think it may have shrunk (cold wash + low heat dry). I will not be getting this shirt again. I much rather get the Amazon Basics golf polo, which has consistently stayed the same fit (in the same cold wash + low heat dry).

To be honest, I was a bit hesitant to purchase this https://hottrendtees.com/ branded polo shirt but I am so glad I did! Ever since my ‘preppy’ college days, I have been searching for the same fabric used in my original Izod polo shirts from years ago. Many of the brand name designers use flimsy, lightweight, smooth fabrics in their current polos which don’t stand up to the test of time. This https://hottrendtees.com/ Essentials shirt was made from the exact fabric choice that I was looking for and the regular fit was just right for me. The purple color I purchased was vibrant and the collar stayed solid (not wrinkled) after the initial washing. The price is unbeatable and I plan to purchase additional colors before my upcoming beach vacation. Thank you, https://hottrendtees.com/! 🙂

The shirt itself is OK quality, particularly for the price, but trying to purchase the correct size is maddening. I first bought a large in the fall of 2019 and it was a bit larger than a typical large but still acceptable. Ordered two more larges spring of 2020 and they used a lighter pique fabric than the first shirt which was nice but both were HUGE, at least the size of a typical XL. I returned the two larges and ordered two mediums. One of the mediums fit perfectly, like a typical large, but the other medium was too small, the size of a typical medium. The shirts seem like a good value but the sizing is just all over the map which makes finding one that actually fits more of a hassle than it’s worth.

I work for a retail store that just generally wants you to wear a green shirt with a collar. The prices for women’s collared polos or shirts like this are ridiculous. I wear a 3x in women’s shirts, so ordered 2x in mens. They are perfect, lots of room, not too cleavage plung-ey, and are holding up so far after two weeks of wear to work. They are a little rough to the touch but don’t itch or rub or feel uncomfortable wearing, and comparing prices was definitely worth it! I wear out shirts relatively fast due to freight, inventory and cash register snagging. These seem to hold up longer than one other brand I got–so far so good!

I’m really pleased with these polo shirts. I’ve ordered several now, in different colors. I’ve worn them quite a bit, washed them more than a few times, and I’m happy to report that they are very well-made, and hold up very nicely as well. These are really good quality shirts. I’ve got zero complaints about them. I also love the variety of colors they have to choose from. That’s a big selling point for me, as I like to have a wide variety of styles and colors to select from.
RobertMor –
Fits well and has held up well for over 6 months after numerous washer and dryer trips
I have 8 of these shirts in different colors and all fit and have held up very well
Amazon Essentials is my go to brand for all my clothes because the fit across all products and styles seems to be very consistent
I tell everyone I can about how good the brand is and encourage them to try it
I hate clothes shopping so it’s great that I can easily order new stuff when I need from the comfort of my recliner and have a very high level of confidence in the fit and style
Will definitely buy more if more colors are added
MichealUnorp –
These are made to fit better than most shirts of a similar price and style. The loose fitting nature is exactly what I like and the price is excellent. I suspect they may warp a bit if not handled with care. These shirts are usually made well but I have bought a few with hanging threads and my green polo was noticeably longer than the others. These are excellent shirts but https://hottrendtees.com/ needs to establish better quality controls to make them more consistent.
RonaldBlerb –
For the money, a pretty good shirt in terms of quality material and construction. And the colors (yellow and washed out red) are exactly as depicted. But I work out so I can feel superior to my coworkers, and this shirt is just too loose. The model in the pic is my height-6’2″–and I assumed he was maybe 160 lbs., but I’m somewhere in the low 190s and bought a medium, and it looks on me like it does on him. This fit is not merely relaxed, it’s comatose. So if you like it loosey goosey, fantastic bargain.
LowellCox –
I am in my mid-20’s, relatively fit and 5’8 male who doesn’t have tape measure at home and is too lazy to take his own measurements for online shopping. I simply chose medium and purchase it and I was astonished at the size of this polo… Sleeves went all the way down to my elbows and there was so much space around the arm pits that made you look like a flying squirrel.
The sizing for these clothes almost reminds me of Brooks Brothers. The most redeeming factor of this experience was how Amazon provided a full refund for me and allowed me to keep the polo. Thank you https://hottrendtees.com/ for the encouragement!

When one is obligated by dress code to wear black to work all the time–whether or not a black polo shirt is obligatory–this black polo is as comfortable and flattering a fitting polo as one might find.
Also, it lacks external branding like brands that tend to flaunt their branding. It turns out that the inability to patent or trademark an actual design motivates fashion companies to litter their wears with their logos or brand names, which can be trademarked. It’s sad really. The novelty that they might sometimes produce is beyond the ability to protect legally, but the tacky little logo is what can be protected–so some brands just put it everywhere. NOT THIS POLO! It doesn’t put it anywhere but the interior and on the nape of the neck! It’s not a slight against https://hottrendtees.com/ trademarks, which is surely no worse than the unflattering logos that some brands litter their products with. It’s just an emphatic statement of my preference that this never be the case and that this polo complies with my preference in its lacking the ostentatious display of its brand’s trademark. DELIGHTFUL!

This size medium was huge. I would have returned it if we didn’t need this ASAP. I believe this was mislabeled as a medium. This looks like it was designed for a wide, husky person. Even after washing it is super wide and blousy around the bottom of the shirt. Tucking this in will make a puffy waistband. We normally purchase Target’s Goodfellow brand polos for my 17yo’s uniform and opted for this one since we are trying to stay away from stores. This size was not as expected at all.
The color did not bleed in the wash and the fabric was soft-not stiff, which we are happy about. It did come out of the dryer very wrinkled. So ironing might be necessary if the wrinkles don’t fall out upon hanging.

I tried this one as well as the slim fit. I also tried the Goodthreads version of the polo. All are very nice shirts, and I kept this one while returning the others for a few reasons. I’m 6’1″ and about 175 pounds. This shirt hangs just a little bit more loosely than it might need to, but it fits well. The Amz Essentials slim fit medium was too tight, and the slim fit large was more snug that this one but was a pretty good fit. Aside from the more snug torso, the main difference between this one and the two slim fit shirts is in the sleeves. The slim fit sleeves are a good bit shorter, to the point if you wear an undershirt, its sleeves may poke out from beneath the sleeves of the polo shirt. The Goodthreads shirt fit in between this one and the Amz Essentials Slim Fit. I liked it quite a bit, and it has a heavier material that drapes very nicely. However, the Goodthreads polo also has noticeably shorter sleeves that would look great if you had big guns and didn’t wear an undershirt but otherwise might not be so great.

Bought this as a casual work shirt for around the office. I’m 6′ 5″, 225lbs, and I bought the XL. Most XL shirts fit well enough, I usually need to order the tall version to get the tail long enough. I bought this after seeing a few folks suggest that it would be long enough for a taller individual. That might have been the case before I washed the shirt, but definitely not after. It shrunk a lot more than I’d have expected it to, and the sizing in the arms and chest seem to run a bit smaller than what I’m used to for the size. If you’re not too tall, I’d actually suggest ordering one size up from what you usually wear and wash it first. If you’re tall like I am, buy another brand with tall sizing.

I like these shirts quite a bit. I bought 3 so far. I’ve never been a big fan of the polo style shirt but they do offer a comfortable alternative where a t-shirt isn’t appropriate. Anyway, these Amazon Essentials shirts fit a little big. I’m 5’10” 185lbs average build and the medium fits pretty well after a hot wash and dry for a little bit of shrinkage. I like these for the decent fit, the lack of visible emblems/logos and the low price!

Great quality and value for the price. I will see how this holds up as I’ll wear it a lot for business, but it seems as nice as the $50 ones I get at some retails stores. I’m fine if it only holds up for one summer. I don’t mind buying a few new ones each year at this price. CAUTION regarding size. Based on many reviews I read regarding size I ordered a medium when I normally wear a large. This is totally incorrect advice. Maybe the sizing is different on my order, but medium was a very tight fit. I’m a fairly normal size person and I tuck the shirt in so I’m not concerned with the length but I am returning the medium for the large I normally wear and will update this in a few days, but I’m sure large will be fine! Order the size you normally wear and you’ll be fine!

I have purchased 20 plus of these shirts in the past six months. The first batch in spring, figuring if any inconsistencies or quality issues arose upon delivery, no problem. Amazon’s return policy has always been hassle free. After trying on the fourth shirt and noticing no outstanding flaws or differences, all were simply opened, laundered and hung on a hanger. The material is 100 percent cotton, but assuming they are removed from the dryer immediately (medium heat) – no ironing necessary. No appreciable shrinking is observed and no outliers in the batch.
My sport shirt size is men’s US large regular fit. Other relevant sizes – 17.5 inch neck, 46 inch shoulders, 34 inch sleeves and 36 inch waist. Overall fit of these shirts is of appropriate roominess without bagginess. Shirt tail length is spot on, work dress code requires tucked in, and they stay tucked in. Casual requires not tucked in, and unless I am reaching for the sky with both hands while on tip toes, the shirt tail/ belt line is not breached. The sleeve length could have been extended by an inch since they taper to an elastic cuff, requiring that the sleeves are pulled back to original position following an extended reach. But given the choice, the sleeves as is are preferred over a straight cut without the elastic cuff.
As an upgrade to the T shirt appearance of the shirt tail when not tucked in, the side seams end with a reinforced, one inch inverted V, a feature not typical in this price range.
To date, durability has not been an issue. Fraying, fabric pilling and fading have not occurred. It is quite difficult, if not impossible, to differentiate the age of two duplicate color shirts purchased in two separate batches.

Ok, I’m probably going to keep this one. I’ve been trying different low priced Henley’s, and have recently sent a couple back (I won’t go into why), but these are reasonably high quality and reasonably heavy (about like a heavy duty T-shirt). I rated the fit as “somewhat small”, because I paid attention to what other reviewers had said in that regard, and I went ahead and ordered an extra large, where I usually get a large. That seems to be the right call, as the extra large seems to fit comfortably (before washing), I’ll update if there’s any significant shrinkage later. I checked the Hanes website, and it says all are 100% cotton except the Heather which is 75% … so I ordered the green body with heather sleeves, and the tag says pretty close to what the website says … the body is 100% cotton, while the sleeves are 60/40. I’m still looking for a good thermal version of a Henley, if anyone has any suggestions, but I do like this one and I will be ordering more.
Addendum: A little caveat to keep in mind, they are selling two completely different shirts here. The two tone sports team look, is part 100% cotton and part blend (the heather color), and that shirt is cut altogether different. The solid color is all 100% cotton, and has a seam across the top of the shoulders, then the sleeve meets the torso in a circle. The sports team look has a seam that cuts down from the neck at roughly a 45 degree angle, so the sleeve section meets the body section under the arms. I’m not complaining, I like them both, but the two different shirts that are being sold here hang off your shoulders and fit entirely different, they should advertise separately.

You want to buy a size bigger than you need if you are going to throw them in the dryer. My shirts shrank a full size, but only the first time. Even after shrinking they are really comfortable and now at the right size.
