Charlie And Pim Smiling Friends Mauled Shirt
The image had been floating around online for a while, that picture of Charlie and Pim, from “Smiling Friends,” looking completely wrecked, their faces a canvas of cartoonish agony. Charlie And Pim Smiling Friends Mauled Shirt – that’s what it was, the whole premise of this design. I actually saw it first on someone at a comic convention last year. I was there, sweating, lugging around a bag of overpriced snacks and feeling a little self-conscious in my own slightly-too-tight t-shirt, when this guy walked by, grinning, and I immediately knew I needed that shirt. The whole visual just perfectly captured the chaotic, darkly funny essence of the show, the way these two hapless do-gooders constantly get the stuffing beaten out of them, but somehow, always persevere. It was a shirt that spoke to a specific kind of absurdity, a shared understanding of the ridiculous in life.

I spent weeks searching online. It wasn’t an official piece of merch, and I wasn’t surprised. I eventually found it on a small, independent artist’s website, buried deep in Etsy or something like that. I clicked ‘buy’ without hesitation. I needed it. There’s a particular kind of humor “Smiling Friends” nails, a blend of utter chaos and surprisingly sincere moments that just resonates with me, I guess. The shirt felt like an inside joke, a secret handshake. It’s comforting to know that other people out there, strangers, appreciate the same things. It always makes me happy when I see someone sporting it.

When the package arrived, I ripped it open and held it up. The image was just as great as I’d hoped – vibrant colors, the exaggerated expressions of Charlie and Pim, the whole ‘mauled’ bit perfectly conveyed. The shirt itself, though, felt a little cheaper than I’d imagined, like it was going to pill after one wash. I still didn’t care; it was perfect. I wore it immediately. The cotton felt a little stiff, maybe? But that didn’t diminish my enjoyment of the shirt. It was a tangible connection to the thing that made me laugh.

I love shirt shirts and this is no exception. I wear it to cardio kickboxing and it’s usually soaked by the time I leave. It’s moisture wicking and cooling and lives up to every standard under armor sets for itself and the industry. I’m a die hard of the brand though, I broke a bone in my spine and spent 7 months in this brace that ran from my shoulders to my thighs. I wore under armor under it and it’s the only way I didn’t constantly over heat. Under armor is worth everything you’ll pay for it. The fit on this shirt is to size for any other major brand. I bought an xl because I prefer my shirts a bit loose, this one fit exactly as I was expecting it to.

Nice shirts for the price
I am happy with the shirts, the are not so heavy and not so thin. the quality is good. I wear size M, but I was thinking to buy size L because most the reviews complaint about the shrinkage. anyhow, I decided to buy size M, when I got the shirts they were quite large for size M. after I washed and hot dried them, they shrink a bit, now they fit me very well. the only complaint is the color. i bought army green, but I was expecting a little bit more darker green. the army green I got is quite old, looks like Vietnam war green…
