40″ chest, 33″ waist, 165# often leaves me between mediums too narrow in the shoulders or larges way to wide in the waist. In desperation, I shop at price points way above what I want to spend for an everyday long sleeve shirt for the colder months. Then came Hanes. This medium, even after washing, reaches comfortably across my shoulders and doesn’t get too wide at the waist. AND low priced! The cotton is soft, comfortable and warm. I have a navy that’s kind of a tweedy navy, an oatmeal and a red that’s kind of a brick red. I enjoy all the colors, and they hold up well washed in large loads of colored clothes in cold water.

I have always liked long-sleeve T-shirts with buttons. Very versatile, useful, and comfortable. This Hanes Long-sleeve T-shirt is great for my daily casuals AND as a sleepwear. I primarily use this as a sleepwear because it is comfortable (75% cotton & 25% polyester). And when the elbow section wears out (creating a hole) then I just cut both sleeves above the elbow and use it as a workout t-shirt. Love the design and comfort. Recommended!

Medium fits me great 90% of the time, but this one binds slightly in the shoulders and torso, and even the neck seems a bit small, though ok unbuttoned. If the shirt shrinks, it won’t be wearable. The sleeves are plenty long but might bind someone muscular. Color (“pebblestone heather”) does not agree with the picture, a bit darker than the light brown depicted and half way toward a kind of pale muddy gray, though that maybe makes it sound worse than it is. Pleasant soft feel. Okay for the price, but I would not buy it again. If you’re skinny and don’t care too much about color accuracy, go for it. Otherwise, pass.

I bought 3 Henley shirts from Amazon from different manufacturers, which arrived today. Two fit fine and as expected. The Hanes is way too small and I’m totally disappointed. It’s labeled Small but it’s an Extra-Small if anything (I buy S shirts but have never encountered anything this small!)–I got it on but struggled to take it off. It’s more trouble than it’s worth to return, so maybe I’ll use it as a rag or something, but I’m not purchasing ANYTHING HANES again. Order at your own risk (probably why they advertise “try before you buy”–ugh!).

This shirt fits decently but is a bit wider at the waist. If you’re a little more heavy around the waist, the shirt may fit you better. If you’re like me and have huge shoulders with not so big waist, the fabric tends to billow if you leave it un-tucked and bunch up if you tuck it in. Overall, it’s decent quality at a decent price – I just don’t think I’ve quite got the body shape for this fit type. Overall I don’t have any serious complaints; it works.

Bought 3 of these to restock my closet with some office wear. They’re not bad shirts if you went to the, “you get what you pay for” school. Pros: Great Price, stitching and general construction is pretty sturdy for the price, fabric is very comfortable. Cons: The sizes run very big. I am a medium, I have a closet full of other medium shirts. These are not mediums I don’t care what the label says. They hang 2-3 inches longer than all the other medium polo’s in my closed, the sleeves go all the way to my elbows, and there’s a little too much chest hair exposed even with the middle button done up. They did shrink a bit after a wash, just enough where I think I can get away with wearing them but still on the baggy side. Also, after the wash they came out fairly frumpy and the collars were a bit wavy. Not completely wrinkled, but not wrinkle free as advertised. A spritz with some wrinkle release and an air fluff in the dryer will do for day-to-day wear, but if want them to look sharp an iron is in order (or a better shirt). These will get me through the daily grind for a while but next time I’m in the market I think I’ll drop a little more coin on better quality.

Husband loves it and has had me buy like 6 more of them. True to size and fits well.
