Great question Manhunt this is a brutal bloodsport T-Shirt . It all comes down to time. Screen Printing is a mechanical process that involves machines, manual labor and time. It takes the same amount of time to setup a job with 1 shirt as it does a job with 100 shirts. When the costs involved are averaged over 100 shirts, the order is affordable for the customer. But, when the same costs are averaged over 1 or 2 shirts, the order is no longer affordable. At KingTee, our screen printing minimum is 24 pieces per design because that is the lowest point at which your order is still economically feasible.

These places use a completely different printing process called Direct-to-Garment (DTG). DTG printing is digital printing. It’s like running your t-shirt through a color printer, rather than dyeing and painting each t-shirt. Another great question. Quality has always been one of our highest priorities at Threadbird. Water-based printing and discharge t-shirt printing are two popular printing styles where the inks are essentially dyed into the fabric, rather than “sitting on top” of the garment like plastisol ink does. Sometimes waterbase and discharge prints will have a slight ink feel at first, but will soften up to the “no feel” state after the first wash.

Money well spent
Heavy cotton material. Very sturdy. Husband is well pleased and feels they are very durable. He says that’s what a man’s tee should be. This a repeat purchase due to his satisfaction with the shirts.

Great quality, but order a size up.
After an inspection of the clothing they appear to be made quite well. There were no openings in the seems, no loose/unraveling threads, no tears, or stains.

Unfortunately, even with measuring myself before ordering, they did not fit. I ordered medium, in accordance to their sizing chart, but it felt much too tight. Almost like it was trying to be a muscle shirt. So, order a size bigger and you should be good there.

Finally, I learned I don’t like “heavy cotton.” A lot of other reviewers said the fabric was soft. To me it was indeed heavy, too heavy, and was more roughly-textured that I expected. Not what I call soft.

I liked the quality of the construction though, and these issues ultimately shouldn’t count against the product itself. Size chart just needs some adjustment, and the fabric issues are just my own preferences.
