The name of the brand Chucky Killin' it since 1988 vintage T-Shirt . Itself has been inspired by the poem El Desdichado (The Disinherited) by the poète maudit Gerard de Nerval, and the words “Ma seule étoile est morte, – et mon luth constellé / Porte le soleil noir de la Mélancolie” (‘My sole star is dead – and my constellated lute/Bears the black sun of Melancholy’) are echoing through the entire collection of graphic dark and gloomy, but also romantic and nostalgic at the same time. Each print by Soleil Noir is hand-drawn and tells a peculiar story inspired by real life or imaginary worlds. Their accessories, and punk rock-style baby gear will be launched on their website soon as well. In order to be able to focus on the creative work, Soleil Noir has teamed up with in charge of the printing and shipping.

Love these shirts, so comfortable!
Some of the reviews complain these aren’t heavy like advertised, and I agree they aren’t particularly heavy. I’d say they’re average weight. But they are exactly what I was looking for and I am very pleased. I purchased the maroon. I’d say they run a tad small. I’m a 150lb women and was looking for a loose fit and had trouble deciding between ordering the medium or large. I went with the large and I’m glad I did. I want to order more colors. I only wish I could order a single one or that they had more varied color combinations.
